DCF-IMU offers drivers to AHRS, Gyroscope, Accelerometers that can be interfaced with DCF robot platforms. Currently, IAI provides DCF drivers for two AHRS sensors - Innlab's AHRS M2 and Microstrain 3DM-GX2. DCF Innalabs AHRS driver supports serial port communication and reports roll, pitch & yaw of the sensor . DCF Microstrain 3DM-GX2 driver also supports serial port communication and emulated serial port communication via USB and reports roll, pitch & yaw of the sensor.
The Innalabs AHRS is a small, low power, high performance attitude heading reference sensor. The device uses triaxial gyros, triaxial accelerometers, and triaxial magnetometers, and is fully compensated over a wide temperature range and can output at rates of up to 100Hz. The device is also resistant to magnetic disturbances. Available outputs include orientation angle and raw sensor data (angular rates, accelerations, and magnetic field).
The Microstrain 3DM-GX2 is small, light weight, low power orientation sensor that utilizes miniature MEMS technologies. The device uses triaxial accelerometers, triaxial gyros, triaxial magnetometers and a temperature sensor in conjunction to computes its outputs. Available outputs include acceleration, angular rate, magnetic field, delta angle, delta velocity, and orientation estimates at rates of up to 100Hz. |
